Grass Roots

It’s an interesting family portrait on the cover of Grass Roots magazine. The colouring, lighting and, I guess, the overall style of the image harks back to the 1950s. I can see that the photographer has used a direct, on-camera flash as a fill on the people. The background tree and the blue sky have been rendered fairly dark, using a short shutter speed. The post processing is also interesting. It almost seems like the photographer has deliberately gone for the retro look.

Well done for the photographer whoever he/she is!
